TraceTogether-only SafeEntry to start from 17 May 2021

05.05.2021

Implementation of TT-only SE

The implementation of TraceTogether-only SafeEntry (TT-only SE) will be brought forward to 17 May 2021 from the previously-announced 1 June 2021.

From 17 May 2021, TraceTogether-only SafeEntry (TT-only SE) will be implemented at all venues that experience higher throughput of visitors, and/or where people are likely to be in close proximity for prolonged periods. These include shopping malls, workplaces, places of worship, schools and educational institutions. This means that SE check-in must be performed using a TT App or Token by:

  1. using one’s TT App to scan the venue’s QR code;
  2. displaying one’s TT Token so that a venue staff can scan the TT Token’s QR code;
  3. tapping one’s TT App or TT Token at a SafeEntry Gateway device.

The full list of TT-only SE venues can be found here.

SafeEntry Gateway (SEGW) required to be deployed at more venues

From 15 June 2021, more public-facing venues where people are likely to be in contact for prolonged periods, such as food and beverage dine-in outlets, hotels, and sports and fitness centres, will be required to deploy SafeEntry Gateway (SEGW) to facilitate SE check-in, and help users check that their TT Token is working. The full list of venues required to deploy SEGW can be found here.

For more information, please see this press release.

SafeEntry Gateway

29.04.2021

The SafeEntry Gateway (SEGW) is a new check-in method that allows individuals to check in more quickly and seamlessly, and to verify that their TraceTogether (TT) Token is working as intended. It will be deployed as an additional mode of SafeEntry check-in.

Businesses can choose to deploy SEGW in two ways:

  1. By downloading/upgrading the SafeEntry (Business) App to the latest.
  2. By registering for an SEGW Box (only for mandated venues).

For more information, please visit our FAQ here.

Help us Shape The Future of SafeEntry

27.05.2020

We’d like your help shaping the future of SafeEntry. We’re always working to make improvements and add new capabilities, and your input helps us get it right.

As a business participating in our beta program, you will test and provide feedback on new versions of SafeEntry before we release them to the public.

With a BETA testing account, you will be able to access a test environment where you can try out your SafeEntry set up before it becomes live to the public.

As you try out the beta features, please understand that real-world testing will be happening concurrently; there might be the occasional bug or two, but your feedback is a huge part of helping us build a better SafeEntry.
